   January Central Committee Meeting

Welcome to the New Year. Let’s hope it will be a victorious one for Barack Obama, Sherrod Brown and other Democrats who are running for office. Please re-dedicate yourselves to volunteering or otherwise supporting our candidates.  

 

January business will include a meeting of the Executive Committee to appoint a Board of Elections Board Member to a four-year term commencing March 1, 2012. Dave Samsel, whose current four year term is expiring, is willing to serve again. Given his experience and background, Dave would be an excellent candidate for reappointment. 

 

We will discuss 2012 events, including the Valentine’s Spaghetti Dinner and Jefferson-Jackson Dinner. Our bylaws specify the JJ Dinner is to be held prior to the primary, which is early (March 6th) this year because it’s a presidential election year. It would be very difficult to organize two such events within the remaining time frame…let’s discuss priorities and options. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
